Dojo often describes as a training hall in which martial arts are practiced… However, Dojo has much deeper meanings in Japanese language. It is a place for accomplishing or pursuing the way of yourself in something which is life long journey.
"Wellness Dojo" is your place to accomplish or pursuing the way of yourself in your future wellness.
We are not ordinary massage clinic in regards to our quality of treatments and customer service. We are very exclusive therapeutic massage clinic and one of the most expensive therapeutic massage clinics in QLD. We provide three exclusive styles treatments form Japan which none of other clinics in Australia provide.
Our clinic has Japanese "Wabi Sabi (Beauty within Simplicity and imperfection)" concept with a view of small Zen-stone garden from the treatment table.

SEITAI has originated from a combination of “Kappo -Healing Techniques” from a various ancient martial arts schools. Most of schools have had secret “Killing techniques (Sappo)” as well as “Healing techniques (Kappo)”. Masters of schools used “Healing techniques” to treat injured from battles or very serious trainings. Initially those secret healing techniques of “Kappo” had kept secret within the schools and been passed down only to the successors of the arts.
Nowadays some of martial art schools still keeps secrets but a few have started to reveal their secret “Kappo” healing techniques to the societies.
This traditional method of Seitai-Style Dry Hot-Stone Massage is a very unique treatment which has originated from one of the most ancient oriental treatments. The evidence of this ancient treatment was found in Japanese historic ruins from more than 1200 years ago.
Master Okumura Sensei has developed, arranged and modernized this traditional method after the long years of his clinical experiences. His Stone Therapy Academy Headquarter is located in Tokyo’s most exclusive and prestigious area called “Omotesando” and Okumura Sensei has been a very popular therapist amongst many celebrities in the region for many years. It is a very distinctive and exclusive treatment in Japan within the massage industry and Okumura Sensei was broadcasted several times on TV. There are more than 80 treatment salons across Japan and Wellness Dojo is the first and only one authorised clinic in Australia to introduce this unique treatment.
The therapist uses the natural volcanic rocks (imported from Japan) which are heated upto 98℃, then applied with comfortable pressure on the Shiatsu pressure points and other tight areas. Its warm comfortable pressure feels as if you are in an “Onsen (Hot Spring)” and your body surrends to pure relaxation.
The natural infrared from the natural volcanic rocks warms and penetrates deeply into your body, which makes your body feel very relaxed. The pure relaxation from this treatment induces very good circulation of the blood, the body fluid and the flow of the Ki energy within the entire body. It also has a positive effect on the parasympathetic nerve system which optimises your self-healing activities.
Light Therapy has origin as Sunbathing that was started by Hippocrates (born in BC460) who was often regarded as the father of western medicine. In 1903, Dr.Finzen in Demark invented the original version of Carbon Ark Light system and started the light therapy.
In 1908, the Light Therapy was introduced in Tokyo University Hospital by Dr.Doi. In 1932, Dr. Ustunomiya (Founder of Japan Photo Therapy Association) developed more improved version of the light system with Ibikawa Electric Co.(which is now supplier for world famous companies like Mercedes-Benz, Intel and etc..)
ARK Light Machine uses high quality Japanese made carbons and produces an artificial sun that is about 1cm in the diameter. The highly computerized machine enables to produce more than 10,000 kinds of lights at 3000℃ and does produce only beneficial rays to humans (including UV-A) and deliberately omits all harmful rays like UV-B and UV-C or others.
Dr. George's (at University Of Wyoming) has done extensive research about how UV-lights can affect to the cells by using paramecium's cells. He has found that UV-A has restoration and rejuvenation effects on the cells that are damaged by UV-C.
