Hi everyone! Let me introduce myself.

I am Nahoko,running the cooking class “At home with Nahoko” It is a healthy, delicious and visually stunning, definitely insta-worthy class.We are located in a friendly and welcoming private home in Kunitachi, about 25 minutes by Chuo JR line from Shinjuku,Tokyo.

I strongly believe “you are what you eat”,so I use organic or high quality ingredients. I never use chemical additive or prosessed food. I will teach you the best cooking way to bring out full flavor from each ingredients.

I also give you some ideas about table setting. It is such a pleasure to spend time with me and be able to enjoy my home!!

New Class Announcement

Would you like to learn how to make both ramen&gyoza in the same class?
I decided to offer the class from 20 December 2021.
It takes around 3h 30minutes each to prepare original ramen and gyoza since we make them from scratch but for this class we use ramen noodle and gyoza wrapper from market.
It’s easier version but still so delicious!!

Fee: JPY 19,000 for 2 people (veggie/vegan options )

Things has changed a lot in recent months in all over the world, however we can still meet and enjoy cooking together online. Now we are offering interactive online classes! It`s different from anything on Instagram live or Youtube.You will be able to converse with me during the class.You can ask me questions about your cooking from your kitchen.You will be able to remake your favorite Japanese food you learned from my online class,whenever you like.

Nahoko-san is a great Japanese teacher for all levels, from beginners to more advanced students! As second language teacher myself, I have pretty high expectations and specific activities I would like to practice in order to gain more proficiency. Nahoko-san encourages the student to use the language with communication activities targeting specific vocabulary and grammatical structures from previous lessons and the current lesson. Additionally, she really gets to know her students and their abilities. She gets excited for student achievements and yet still presents challenges. She also provides many insights about the Japanese language that you would not know if you simply listen and practice audio lessons. My lessons with Nahoko-san are via zoom. She is always prepared and shares her document to give the student a visual which is really helpful when learning hiragana, katakana, and kanji. After each lesson she also sends the document so that I can review and practice what we discussed. I highly recommend Nahoko-san for Japanese language instruction.

Nahoko is a wonderfully warm and genuine host. I felt welcomed into her home the moment I stepped in. And learning her personal recipes were a real treat. I never thought that I would have been able to make tasty, restaurant quality ramen with a homemade feel like I did when I was there. Her instructions are easy to follow for a beginner , but not too basic for a more advanced student. Take her class, you’ll be surprised at what’s you can do.

About Nahoko◆

I was born in a historical city,Kamakura in 1971 and grew up there.
I majored in Art Theory and graduated from Seijyo University. I worked for an apparel company and an advertising company in Tokyo.
In 2009 I decided to stay in Cork,Ireland for 3 months then
in Malta for 2 months and attended English language schools.I was enjoying cooking with other students from all of the world in the dormitories.  After I got married while supporting my husband`s job,I have participated some cooking schools and started my own cooking classes in 2017. I took.....
