Japanese drum (WADAIKO) group.
''UTSUWA'' was formed in May 2015.All of member of “UTSUWA” was graduated from Tama Art University located in Tokyo. Five persons who learned expression in some different major(like ”Oil painting”,”Japanese painting”,”Graphic design”,”Environmental design” and ”Suclpture”) concentrate with Japanese traditional instrument WADAIKO, and we do an own musical expression.Jump over the boundaries of traditional Japanese drum performance and play the original songs made with an own style.Utilizing the talents of each member,we visualizes the Wadaiko sound by live painting performance.


メンバー全員が多摩美術大学出身。
年齢や出身地も違い、
「油絵科」「日本画科」「彫刻科」「グラフィックデザイン科」と
別々の学科で表現を学んだ5人が和太鼓という1つの伝統楽器と向き合い、独自の音楽表現を行う。

伝統的な和太鼓演奏の枠を飛び越え、独自のスタイルで作られたオリジナルの曲を演奏する。
それぞれの特技を生かし
その場で絵を描くライブペイントとのコラボレーションで音色を視覚化していくパフォーマンスや、衣装の創作など幅広い表現活動を行っている。
