He has taught hundreds of students since 2001. Born in Osaka in 1965. After working as an advertising designer and management consultant, he opened his own ramen shop. He established his ramen school in 2001. He is a pioneer in this field. Graduates of his ramen school are not only Japanese but also many from abroad. He has been appeared in the mass media, writing and publishing Ramen books.
Brian MacDuckston has been writing about ramen and the ramen scene in Japan for over 10 years. He has been to over 1300 shops, published two books on the subject, and appeared on television as a ramen expert. A native of San Francisco, he loves showing travelers his favorite restaurants, both ramen, and non-ramen alike. Brian has been working with the Osaka Ramen School since 2012, helping foreigners get their ramen education.
