Students of IM course from Ritsumeikan Uji start

We try to use connectios that we made through 1 year studying abroad to ask friends and schools to hold charity events.
Also, we have some bake sales at local festivals to raise donations.

Education problem in East Asia

Children in the School

There are children who do not have enough opportunities to learn at school.
The main causes for this issue are their family reasons and their poor circumstance.
We believe that education contributes to expand children's horizons and their futures.

Salary Issue

According to students
who visit Laos from our school,
not all teachers get enough salary or
they teach children as volunteer.
If the donation is used to provide studying supplies such as textbook or stationary,
teachers would get their salaries with the money that was for studying supplies.

About Wakka Logo

The logo is based on our concept
"beyond the world".
Colorful parts in the circle indicate different countries.
We also wished to expand wakka (one circle of the world in Japanese) with this logo.

-Our Next Vision-

For continuous support for East Asian education and beyond the world.
We will ask more students and schools
in different countries to conduct charity events.
We have already held events in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan in 2016.
To expand our wakka, we will ask
America, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand as 2017's action.

Q&A

Why do we support East Aisan's education?
We chose East Asia which is the place that our students easily visit for doing field work.
Furthermore, our school already has some other project that supports East Asia, which we already know and support that place.
Why do we support through EDF of Japna?
Our school already has a connection with EDF (Education of Development Foundation of Japan) before this project is started.
We held face-to-face meeting and we decided to support the fund-raising owned by EDF.
Also, this fund-raising is reliable since supporters and assisted persons can know each other.
Why do we choose to do bake sale as charity events?
We asked participants to hold bake sale, since it usually not expensive so that both sellers and buyers don't have a big burden to prepare.
It is just our idea and recommendation, so you can hold all kinds of events. (For example, street fund-raising, garage sale, talent show etc...)
