NGO GOODEARTH
build the good earth for the future

Let’s create the future to live  a wonderful life.

NGO GOODEARTH is dedicated in various activities under the theme of "overcoming poverty".

The mission of NGO GOODEARTH is to “create society where  kindness circulates”

Changing with no denial,
no attack,but kindness

In the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) which was adopted by the United Nations in September 2015, “poverty” and “hunger” are cited as major issues with  environmental issues. We, who Live in developed countries, are surrounded by too many things and food, so seemingly rich. However, we are suffering from "mental poverty."

On the other hand, there are countries which are suffering from “material poverty”. People who live there are suffering from poverty and hunger no matter how much they work, because of the exploitation of developed countries. Currently  the poverties in various aspects are regarded as problem.

We believe that “the lack of dignity of lives” and  “indifference” are the root causes of such a broad definition of poverty, and escaping from “indifference” is the key to overcoming poverty. We also think that this will direct the environment and the future of children, including our society, to the good.

What we are aiming for by overcoming poverty is to create the society where "lives are equal" and "everyone has the right to live".

We keep trying to create the world where everyone can live happily no matter where you were born.
We  also keep trying to create sustainable society.

Bangladesh

Gift food (meal support)

Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, has been involved in the consuming socio-economy of developed countries and many people have no choice but  to live in slums.
It is full of people who work more than ten hours a day and end up being poor, people who have no access to health care, and children who have disabilities with there brains due to malnutrition.
Even small children cannot go to school and collect rubbish to make a living.
We have started supporting the children in slums to have enough food and fair learning environment. Currently, we provide 25,000 meals a month and working on providing  meals for 5 million people.

Employment creation utilizing sewing technology

We conduct a project to have people, who live in slums in Bangladesh and have high sewing skills create local clothes "Punjabi" and "Rungi Skirt" for Japanese supporters.
We have made the system in which  appropriate reward is paid from a supporter’s donation and "Punjabi" or "Rungi skirt" will be delivered to the supporter.
We aim for stabilizing their lives by making use of the technology of them.
It is expected that we can create a cycle which is good for the environment and the local industries by utilizing jute (hemp), which is locally grown and good for the environment, as well as cotton, for Panjabi.

School construction

Land prices or commodity prices are sharply raised in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, due to  the purchase or investment by foreign capitalists.
We have launched a project to build a school in the suburb of Dhaka, as we thought it would be difficult to keep supporting them because the rent price has been doubled and the food price keeps rising.
We aim for constructing the school with the relations with as many people as possible by asking for donations from people who agree on what we do.
Once the school is built, the children in slums can live and learn in relief and our food support becomes more stable.
We already purchased the land for school  in February 2019. Currently, we are deploying a project "Let’s build a school" and aiming for completing it in 2020.

Guinea

Improvement of the hygienic environment

In Guinea, which is in the position of one of the poorest countries in the world, infrastructure for living is not in place and  the U5MR (Under5 Mortality Rate) is extremely high.

The secondleading cause of death in this country is diarrhea caused by the unhygienic water or food. We have built an ice manufacturing factory and sell ice which makes up for refrigerator.  We contribute to decrease diarrhea and more hygienic meals.

Employment creation by ice manufacturing business

Through the ice manufacturing business, we are putting food business infrastructure in place to create employment in primary industry including marine products and develop human resources.

We are going to equip the regions with refrigerator to deliver ice to wider range of people and create employment more.

From now on, we will establish cold storages in various places so that ice can reach a wider range of people and work on creating more jobs.
