"Nihonbuyo" is a form of traditional Japanese Peforming art which has  450 years of history.
Nihonbuyo  is made from Kabuki,so there are many dancers who dress like Kabuki.

Let' wear Kimono and dance Nihonbuyo together!

Difference between Nihonbuyo and Classical Ballet

The biggest difference is the position of the center of gravity.
The center of gravity of Nihonbuyo gose downward, becouse Japanese are agriculturral people.On the contrary,the center of gravity of classical ballet goes upward.

The other difference is that the dancer is always the star of the show.
 Nihonbuyo is originated from Kabuki,there is a story in one peace of music.
 Most Nihonbuyo music with a story is performed by one dancer.
Therefore,one dancer plays various roles in one song.

I'll show you how to greet people, how to walk and pose in Kimono.Kimono is the national costume of Japan.

The music for Nihonbuyo is played on Japanese instruments such us "Shamisen","Tsudumi" and "Shinobue" etc.
In Nihonbuyo a women can be a man,a child, an ogre or a ghost!
