What is Shiatsu?

Shiatsu is a hands-on therapy originated in Japan. Therapists use thumbs, fingers and palms to apply pressure to the body to adjust its imbalance.
It is effective for headache, neck pain, frozen shoulder, back pain, sciatica, muscle tension/stiffness, fatigue, digestive problems and lots more.
Shiatsu is a great therapy for tension and stress relief.  You will feel deeply refreshed both physically and mentally after the treatment.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a method using thumbs and fingers to stimulate reflex points/areas in the feet, hands and ears that relate to parts within the body. Stimulating those points and areas promotes health in those organs and glands via the body's energetic pathways.
It is a deeply relaxing treatment with benefits that you can feel throughout the body.

About Makiko

-Born and raised in Japan, moved to Canada in 2002.
-Loves traveling, camping, reading and hot yoga.
-Lives in Port Coquitlam with 4 children.
-Graduated from Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy in 2008 (2200h Shiatsupractor Diploma).
-Worked for Japan Shiatsu Clinic in Vanocouver from 2008 to 2017.
-Obtained a Foot Reflexology Diploma at HPC Reflexology Institute in 2018.
-Active member of Canadian Shiatsu Society of BC, Reflexology Association of BC and Reflexology Association of Canada.
