Introduction

　The Japan Maritime Daily (JMD) hosts a webinar "MariTech Webinar Japan 2020 -Digital Evolution of Ships-" on November 10, supported by TradeWinds. The Webinar will be streamed live to JMD readers and TW readers, with simultaneous interpretation both in English and Japanese.

　The Webinar will focus on "autonomous vessels," the latest technological advances in Japan's shipping and shipbuilding industries. We will also explore the potential of electric propulsion ships and marine gas oil (MGO) engines, which are attracting attention as a clean energy source. The speakers will be the companies participating in the Nippon Foundation's MEGURI 2040 project, electric propulsion ships, and MGO companies, who will give presentations and talk sessions.
