Atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima


子どもの時から『平和学習』を受けてきた。

あたりまえに皆が学ぶと思っていた『平和学習』を

県外の友人が初耳なことに驚く。

国民全体が平和について考える時間を設けていないのだ。

さらに現2017年。

原爆の日や時間を知らない子どもたちが増えた広島では、

続けてきた８月６日の登校日がなくなる。

登校日では、体育館で観た戦争の映画や

被爆体験された方のお話を聞き、

戦争とは何だろうと見つめる。

その日だからこそ広島国民がひとつになり、

平和への思いを力強く伝えられるのではないか。

この地球上の人間や動物、植物は何のために生きるのか。

互いに助け合う中で喜びや悲しみ、怒りという感情を味わい、

成長しあえる世界をどうして続けられないのか。
“Peace Learning” has been a part of my life from childhood.
I though everyone in my generation would have similar experience so it surprised me
when I found my friends outside Hiroshima prefecture doesn’t know what
“Peace Learning” is all about.
The whole nation is not reserving a time to think about peace.
Now in 2017….
The number of children who don’t know the date and time of the atomic bombing
increased in Hiroshima, and the special peace gathering day of August 6 will be
abolished from Hiroshima public schools. (August 6 is the special day especially for
people of Hiroshima. It is summer vacation time, but many Hiroshima public schools
open and hold the peace memorial gathering on August 6.)
During the gathering, students hear story from survivors, watch war films, and make
silent prayer to rethink about war and peace. It has been kept for decades.
Isn’t it because we do it on August 6, Hiroshima citizens are able to become one and
pray for the peace together?
For what reasons, do human, animals, and plants on Earth live for?
Why can’t we help each other, sharing the feelings of joy, sorrow, anger, to make the
world peace and better?

祖母から受け継いだあの日の話。

祖父と祖母が助かったから
私、そして
子どもたちと繋がっている命。

忘れてはいけない。

広島に原爆が投下された日
その時が止まった時間を。

一人ひとりの『平和の祈り』を
折り鶴で届けたい。

I launched this project, Hiroshima86815project, to ask for your cooperation.
The inherited story from grandmother.
The inherited lives from grandparents and now to my children.
Should never forget.
The day the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima
The moment the atomic bomb stopped the time.
I would like to deliver "Peace Prayer" with folding paper cranes from each one of you.
