About Us

In the ancient days of Saga, Yamamoto Tsunetomo , who was a samurai of the Saga Domain in Hizen Province under Nabeshima clan, enlightened us with a phrase “Hagakure” ( meaning Hidden Leaves) as the the warrior code of the samurai. Hagakure is said to assert that the warrior code of the samurai is about the importance of filial piety, the concentration even to the tiniest detail, as well as daily training or contemplation of up to now present.

With the teachings chanting through time from middle Edo period, Hagakure becomes an inseparable part of today modern living and working work. We – hagakure guest house – aim to be the place of mutual interaction between people of Saga and travelers around the world, at the same time, conveys the “goodness” of Saga to our visitors.

In the spring of 2017, the first dormitory type guest house was first established in Saga prefecture. That is a warm inn which its wall was painted by our own hands with the help of friends. Please feel free to contact us for more information
