What is DAIKAGURA?
DAIKAGURA is one of Japan’s most traditional performing arts with a history spanning more than 400 years. It originally was a form of entertainment dedicated to the gods of Shinto shrines, but became popularized in the late 19th century when it began appearing in entertainment halls and theaters.
Wearing a kimono and using only simple props, such as knives, a teapot, a ball and a Japanese umbrella, Kouki dazzles audiences of all ages with his amazing feats of balance and skill!
