The reason why I keep teaching abacus

Hello!

I’m Yoshimi Imasaka from Sanaru Soroban.
I teach abacus and run multiple abacus schools in Japan.

How do you think about abacus?
Just a calculation tool?

You might think we no longer need it because of a calculator.

For the function using calculator is faster than abacus.
However learning abacus give opportunity for your children to grow their brain.

If they rely on a calculator from when they are small kids, is it's good for their future?

Abacus isn’t just a tool of the calculation.
It’s the best way to grow their brain.

While calculating with abacus, you use fingers with the abacus balls.

Vidualize the abacus in your head with mental arithmetic.
This stimulates both right and left brain.

Abacus also grow the ability of concentration and patience.

Children are steadily overcoming challenges.
Fosters a sense of self affirmation and confidence in their mind.

I’ve taught over 5000 students in Japan.

We have a good reputation for the education of mental arithmetic.
We are proud that the parents thank to us for growing the childrens mind and heart.

"Reading, writing and abacus" is wisdom of Japanese tradition.

Once you become a member of the society, you need to deal with money.
You can take care of the number when you do business and buy something etc.

In Japan it's said "Reading, Writing and Abacus" for the education of everyone since Edo era.
These educations are the basic of your life.

Advanced subjects in high school and university are based on the basic ability of the calculation and literacy.

When you search about the education for children, there are a lot of "should do" things.
But studying language and calculation is "must do" education.

Small children can learn abacus earlier than reading words.

"Reading, Writing and Abacus”
These 3 skills are important.

But for children learning abacus is the easiest to start.
They don’t need to know how to write letters like 「1」「2」「3」.

Just play with abacus balls and they understand the concept of numbers.

On the other hand reading and writing is the skill to grow in your lifetime.

The more knowledge and experience, the better you express yourself.
It’s more difficult for children to keep the motivation of learning.
