There are 13000pcs of plastic trash at the ocean 1 ㎢
Pure Sea Water is a project that started from university students who have mind “ I want to work on marine plastic problem from university students” in Tokyo in March 2020.
One of the things we use casually is plastic. Light, cheap, and strong plastic. However, do you know that it is a big problem. At the ocean 1㎢, now on average there are 13000 pcs of plastic trash. It is said that even if it becomes fine, it does not decompose naturally or it takes a long time to disassemble.
Embarrassingly, we learned about SDGs this spring. There are all new information. So we will acquire knowledge from now on. That’s why, we want to do something even now. What can we do in Tokyo. And this project started with this thought.
In search, we found out that 80% of marine plastic trash are blown off by the wind and flow from drains to river or the sea.
Not to change the beautiful sea and the earth, first of all, want to change from us.
Clean the sea by picking up trash in the city. Together with the first step to change the future.
