There are 230,000 members nationwide. About 9,000 members in Gifu prefecture. The organization centered on Gifu City is the "Retirement Federation Gifu Branch". There are subcommittees in each elementary school district in the city and they are active.
The government is trying to implement reforms aiming for an all-generation social security system, but the future is not always bright.
