"Retirement Federation" is an abbreviation for "Retired Civil Service Federation". Formed in 1947 as an organization that works on social security such as pension problems for retired civil servants. There are 230,000 members nationwide. About 9,000 members in Gifu prefecture. The organization centered on Gifu City is the "Retirement Federation Gifu Branch". There are subcommittees in each elementary school district in the city and they are active.
The government is trying to implement reforms aiming for an all-generation social security system, but the future is not always bright. We would like to keep an eye on the direction of the pension system in the future, learn from each other, maintain and expand the organization, and work toward the enhancement of pensions, long-term care, medical care, etc.
